Prosecution against fire safety violations

(a) Andhra Pradesh Fire & Emergency Services Department has initiated Prosecution against the 689 builders/owners, who have failed to provide the required Fire Safety measures under Section 31 of A. P. Fire Service Act, 1999 and pending in various civil courts in the Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts.

(b) Vide G.O. Ms. No. 340, Finance (SMPC- I) Department, dated 22.11.2010,. Government has sanctioned for the Establishment of Legal Cell by creating 14 posts to this Department at office of the Director General of State Disaster Response A.P. Hyderabad.

(c) Government in G.O. Rt. No. 2104, Law (LA & J-Home-Courts.A2) Department, dated 30-12-2011. Government has appointed Sri H. Krishna Mohan, Additional Public Prosecutor, Grade-I as Legal Advisor cum to Public Prosecutor to this Department. He is shortly joining.

(d) The Department has initiated Prosecution against the Fire Safety violators of Multi Storied Buildings and prosecution cases were filed in various Hon’ble M.M. Courts in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy District and Adilabad, Khammam, Warangal, Mahabubnagar, Nalagonda, karimnagar, Nizamabad and Medak by deputing officers from all the 10 Districts. (e) The DGSRD FS has reviewed 257 Nos cases and orders wereissued to District Fire Officer`s and Asst. District Fire Officer for conducting of fresh inspection and issue Notice in form 12 and show cause Notice in form 14 and the copies of the dated acknowledgement should be submit to the Chief office for issuance of Prosecution Orders.

(f) The DGSRD FS has reviewed 665 Nos cases and orders were issued to District Fire Officer`s issue of for conducting of fresh inspection and issue Notice in form 12 and show cause Notice in form 14 as per Rule 29 (5)(b) of A.P. Fire Services Act. 1999 and the copies of the dated acknowledgement should be submit to the Chief office for issuance of Prosecution Orders.
